Careers at Integrity 1st Car Pros

Let's be honest, you deserve better.

You'll never be asked to sell work a car doesn't need. That's written into the job description. 15 locations across Texas, and we're still opening.

An Integrity 1st Car Pros technician at work under the hood, with the service bay behind

Why work here?

We've got your back and we put it in writing.

“To only be asked to perform work with the utmost ethical consideration.”

From our job descriptions

How the pay works

Flag-hour pay, with incentive and bonus opportunities depending on the position. Daily flag-hour guarantees are available for qualifying technician roles. Your offer sets out the amount and the conditions attached to it.

No pressure selling

Our advisors are told to explain “value, safety, urgency, and benefit … without unnecessary pressure”. That's the standard for the role, not a nice idea.

Client first, car second

“Take care of the Client FIRST and the Car SECOND.” That's from our Service Advisor job description. It's how the counter and the bay stay on the same side.

We buy the big tools

You bring your own tools, including a basic scanner. “Major scanners and equipment are supplied by the company.”

We'll help move your box

Switching shops means hauling a toolbox that weighs more than you do. We put up to $300 toward getting it here.

Inside the shop

Where you'd actually spend the day no stock photos. These are our bays.

The tools to do it right

Everything you need to fix it properly the first time.

Technology-forward isn't a slogan. This is the equipment and software our technical roles are built around.

  • 30+ point Digital Vehicle Inspections on tablet, with photos, measurements and notes the customer sees
  • Tekmetric shop management
  • AllData and manufacturer service information
  • Scan tools, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, smoke and pressure testing
  • Major scanners and diagnostic equipment supplied by the company

Digital inspections mean the customer sees exactly what you see. Your photos, your measurements, your notes. Fewer arguments at the counter, and your diagnosis speaks for itself.

Where could you go?

Move up without starting over 15 shops. Real steps up.

Technician track

  1. Apprentice / New TechnicianInspections, maintenance, tires and entry-level repairs while you build skill under experienced techs.
  2. General Automotive TechnicianFull diagnostic and repair work across all makes and models.
  3. Lead / Master TechnicianTop technical authority in the shop, and you mentor the techs coming up behind you.

Front-of-house track

  1. Service AdvisorOwn the customer relationship, explained honestly and without pressure.
  2. Service ManagerRun the flow of work and coach inspection quality across the team.
  3. General ManagerRun the store. The people, the numbers, the standard.

And beyond the store

  • General Manager
  • Regional Manager
  • Regional Vice President
  • Chief Operating Officer

Here's what most shops can't offer. Every location needs its own leadership, so the jobs above the shop floor are real positions here rather than hypotheticals. Regional Manager, Regional Vice President and Chief Operating Officer are all filled by people who run this business day to day.

This company has an actual starting point. Founded by Kevin Syed, Integrity 1st's operating history began with a shop in Plano in 2015.

What you get

Real specifics not a list of adjectives.

Some of our locations are independently owned and set their own terms, so what follows is the picture at most of our shops. Whatever applies to the role you're offered is confirmed in writing before you accept.

Weekends off

Our shops are closed Saturday and Sunday. Not a rota you rotate onto. The doors are shut.

Paid time off that grows

Full-time employees in good standing.

  • 1 week after 6 months
  • 2 weeks after 2 years
  • 3 weeks after 5 years
5, 10, 15 working days.

6 paid holidays

Memorial Day · Independence Day · Labor Day · Thanksgiving · Christmas Day · New Year's Day For eligible full-time employees, after the 90-day probationary period.

Toolbox transportation

We'll cover up to $300 toward transporting your toolbox when you join, paid to the vendor or reimbursed. Terms, including the repayment condition if you leave within 90 days, are set out before you accept.

Equipment on us

Major scanners and diagnostic equipment are company-supplied, not out of your pocket.

Health, dental & vision

Medical through Blue Cross Blue Shield, with dental, vision and voluntary life through Principal. Contribution and eligibility are confirmed in writing before you accept an offer.

Recognition that buys something

We run recognition through Awardco. Points land at 90 days, on your birthday and on your work anniversary, and they spend in a marketplace of gift cards, Amazon and company swag.

You also get points of your own to give away, topped up through the year. Anyone can recognize anyone, with a written reason, and it lands on a feed the whole company can see and comment on. Not a manager handing out a certificate.

Referral bonuses

Refer someone we hire and there's a bonus in it.

  • $1,000 for a B-level or higher technician
  • $500 for a Service Advisor, Service Manager, General Manager or General Service Technician
Paid against employment milestones, per the program terms.

Featured technician role

EV / Hybrid Technician High voltage work, held to a real standard.

Hybrid and electric vehicles are not a variation on the same job. They carry systems that will hurt you if you treat them like a conventional car, and diagnosing them takes electrical depth most bays do not have. We hire for this as its own specialty, not as a box a General Technician ticks on the way past.

What the work is

Diagnosis and repair across hybrid and electric vehicles: battery systems, charging systems, power electronics, electric drive systems, communication networks and the electronics around them.

You would be the person the bay comes to when a fault is electrical and the usual approach has run out.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred, including strong electrical and diagnostic experience
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Hybrid and EV high-voltage safety training, or equivalent documented training, required for technicians performing high-voltage work
  • Working knowledge of hybrid and EV battery systems, charging systems, power electronics, electric drive systems and related vehicle electronics
  • Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment, service information and electrical testing tools
  • ASE certifications preferred. ASE L3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist strongly preferred but not required
  • Manufacturer-specific hybrid and EV training is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Safety and certification are two different things

ASE L3 is an advanced diagnostic certification. High-voltage safety qualification is separate, and it is about working safely above 60V DC and 30V AC.

We treat them that way. Documented high-voltage safety training is required before anyone works independently on high-voltage systems, using our approved procedures and PPE. L3 is strongly preferred and not required at hire.

Director of Human Resources Join a growing HR team and build the people infrastructure behind our next stage of growth.

A senior HR leadership role at a multi-location automotive service company. You would join an established HR team and help lead it, based in Plano and working across Dallas–Fort Worth, primarily in person, with periodic travel to our locations.

We have HR in place. What we are adding is a leader who has already operated at greater scale and can build the structure to match where the company is going. That means stronger recruiting and retention, compliance, benefits and payroll that hold up as we grow, and people operations that stay consistent from one location to the next. You would develop the team you inherit, advise senior leadership on workforce decisions, and own both the strategic and the day to day.

Lead and develop the HR team

You would lead the existing team day to day, set priorities, coach the people on it and build the capability the department needs as it grows. Developing that team is a core part of the job rather than a by-product of it.

Recruiting and talent acquisition

Improving how we attract and hire qualified people across every location. Stronger recruiting process, real talent pipelines rather than reactive postings, and a clear view of where the workforce gaps are before they turn into vacancies.

Retention and workforce planning

Understanding why people stay and why they leave, and acting on it. You would work with Operations to build stronger teams and give leadership an honest read on turnover, staffing and what it takes to keep good people.

Compliance, benefits and payroll

Direct ownership of HR compliance, benefits administration and payroll process across every location. These have to be right today and still hold up at several times the size.

People operations and HR systems

The processes, systems and records the department runs on. Consistent practice from one shop to the next, HR data leadership can actually use, and systems chosen and run so they scale rather than need replacing in two years.

Partnering with senior leadership

A seat in workforce and organizational decisions. You would advise the executive team and Operations, bring structure and accountability to how people decisions get made, and be who leadership turns to on anything involving the workforce.

What we're looking for

  • Strong preference for candidates who have helped lead the people function in an organization of roughly 250 to 1,000 employees, and who understand the systems, process and leadership that scale requires
  • Senior HR leadership experience, including leading and developing an HR team
  • Multi-location experience
  • Experience with a frontline, hourly workforce
  • Strong employee relations and compliance judgment
  • Hands-on ownership of benefits and payroll process
  • A record of building recruiting and retention that worked
  • HR results you can measure

Where you might have done it

Automotive experience helps but is not required. What matters more is having run HR inside an operational business with a distributed, hourly workforce.

Relevant backgrounds include multi-location retail, field services, skilled trades, logistics, construction, hospitality, home services and similar.

The practicalities

  • Title
    Director of Human Resources
  • Location
Plano, TX, working across Dallas–Fort Worth
  • Work arrangement
    Primarily in person
  • Travel
    Periodic travel to our locations

How we train you

You won't be left to work it out onboarding, check-ins, and people who answer questions.

Your first 90 days include onboarding and performance check-ins as you learn the role, the way we run a repair order, and our procedures.

“Regular check-ins and performance reviews will be conducted to provide constructive feedback and guidance.”

Our Lead and Master techs are expected to be a resource for everyone else. Diagnostic strategy, repair information, proper procedure. You'll learn next to experienced diagnosticians instead of guessing on your own.

ASE certification is encouraged, and hybrid and EV training is valued for our advanced technical roles.

Auto Care 101

We teach people to look after their own cars and we're not precious about it.

Our Murphy team ran an Auto Care 101 class for the local community, walking people through what's actually under their own hood. The kind of thing you do when you'd rather a customer understood the work than just paid for it.
